Alice in Wonderland Sewing Series!

Do you know Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, the well known children book by author Lewis Carroll? It was later on turned into TV cartoons, a Disney movie, and a Tim Burton's movie too? This year marks the 150th anniversary of Alice in Wonderland books and a group of amazing sewing bloggers all around the world thought it would be great to join the celebrations with... a themed sewing series

Alice's books and movies are full of amazing characters - the curious Alice, the bossy White Rabbit, the smart and fun Cheshire Cat, the grumpy Caterpillar, the formidable Queen of Hearts and the Mad Hatter, the Humpty Dumpty on the wall, the Tweedledum and Tweedledee twins, among others. Alice's movies are full of colors and patterns, wonderful garments with lots of details - every thing a sewing blogger loves, right? :)

This sewing series will take place this week - July 13-1920th. There will be about three bloggers posting their Alice's inspired creations each day. I will be publishing here everyday for the series with a teaser photo from the blogs posting on that day with links to their blogs where you can see all the details in their creations!

Here is the line up:

  1. What a wonderful theme Sara! I love Alice in Wonderland and has a child used to pretend I was Alice and my little cousin the Mad Hatter and have a tea party (but he wouldn't play for long). I read something about 150th celebrations, but had long forgot. Can't wait to see what's to come! :D
